The conference will take place at the School of Engineering of the Porto Polytechnic (ISEP), located in Building E.
Porto is a modern European city served by an international airport, railways, and a public transportation system that includes both bus services and subway lines.
Airport Transfer:
When traveling by plane, there are several ways to reach the city center (hotel or ISEP).
– Metro
The easiest way to get from Porto Airport to the city center is to take the metro. Line E (Violet) connects Airport Station to “Estádio do Dragão” Station, and, naturally, to all metro network (Trindade station). The access to the Station from the interior of the Airport is extremely simple and practical, being fully signalled.
The occasional Andante title required for travelling between the Airport Station and Oporto city centre is a Z4. In the Andante shop, located in the arrivals zone of the airport, you can also purchase the Andante Tour, an unlimited and intermodal pass valid for 1 or 3 days. The journey to the city centre takes about 30 minutes and a single fare is €1.90.
– Bus
There are regular bus connections to the city centre (buses 601, 602, 604, and 3M serve the airport). A single fare is also €1.90 (Buses and Metro share the Andante system).
– Taxi
Taxis are available 24 hours a day from outside Arrivals. A 20% surcharge applies on weekends, public holidays, and between 21:00 and 06:00. The taxi service to the Porto centre typically costs around 25 euros and takes between 20 and 30 minutes. Large-sized baggage may incur an additional cost (about 3 EUR).
Getting to ISEP:
ISEP is situated in the main university area of Porto, a 10-minute subway ride from the city centre. Easily accessible by public transportation, the campus is just across the IPO subway station (yellow) line and is also served by the 300, 301, 603, and 803 buses.
